My closing date is supposed to be tomorrow and I didn’t think we would make it. My MC said we will definitely close this week. Yet, I received closing disclosures from the bank yesterday that say that I will be closing on October 16th. Waiting to hear what the date actually will be. I don’t mind if it is really going to be Monday while I would prefer tomorrow. Just feels like I need to know soon right? I swear I don’t have the crazies! I just would like to know if it’ll be tomorrow lolOctober 12, 2017 at 1:41 pm #38978
I’m not able to tell you for certain when the closing will take place. However please remember that federal law requires that the closing cannot take place any earlier than three days after the issuance of the final Closing Disclosures. (Again, that’s not when you received them, but when they were issued.) That should at least give you some idea of the earliest possible closing date.
Even if you don’t close today, you should have a firm closing date by the end of the day today. Please keep us updated!
(BTW, your question is completely valid and definitely NOT a case of the Close to Closing Crazies!) 😉

So it has been confirmed that I close Monday at 5! So excited! I just have one question. I received two disclosures dated the same day that had two different figures that I am supposed to bring to closing. Do you think I will be contacted tomorrow about what the figure definitely is and who I make the certified check out to? I am still in the dark about this part and I prefer to get the check tomorrow because I have to work Monday before the closing. Thanks everyone!October 13, 2017 at 12:05 pm #38994
Yes, you should hear from someone today with exact figures and to whom the check should be payable. The check will most likely be made out to the title company or attorney handling the closing.

So I am quite nervous because I’m suppose to close on Friday, October 20th which is listed on my contract and I haven’t heard anything to confirm this. My agent hasn’t heard anything from NACA and on my webfile status shows a N/A. Can you tell me what this means? The sellers are already to pre-sign for Thursday and have informed my agent that they are also preparing to work with the 2nd highest bid applicant for our home if we don’t close on Friday. I am extremely nervous. My MC has been responsive but I haven’t heard anything from my closing coordinator in regards to this.
