NACA told me today that I would be receiving my Closing Disclosure tomorrow (Saturday) or Monday. At first I though the lender, CitiBank, would be sending it but found out that NACA sends it out. Will I be receiving it via email or overnight delivery? If overnight delivery will I have to be home to sign for it? Once I receive it do I have to sign it and email or fax it back right away? My closing is set for next Thursday, April 11th so I am a little anxious about making sure I get it by Monday to satisfy the three day rule. Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer this for me. I am excited that I am getting this close.

Mine was overnighted, I believe by CITI. I wasn’t home and didn’t have to sign for it.
However, I was confused, as Citi said it was for informational purposes, and didn’t provide info on where to fax it back to.
We signed all of the pages and I emailed it back to my MC. I was also was able to send a copy to the underwriter as I had received a previous email from her.
Check with your MC to see if there is a number you can fax it to.
Mine all worked out and we closed on April 4th.
    Good luck.

To my recollection, the lender sends out the CD and you just have to verify to everyone involved that you’ve received it and that the info is correct. It’s mostly informational. The ‘waiting period’ begins when Citi sends it out to you not when you receive it.

As always, follow your MC’s directives.

    Hello fepuryear,

NACA does not send out the Closing Disclosure form. That is done by the bank exclusively. Typically, it is sent by overnight courier such as UPS, FedEx or USPS.

The three day waiting period required by law begins when the bank issues the CD, not when you receive it. Hopefully all has gone well and you are closing today.
