    Hello yassieyas,

    Actually @krisfnbs can probably answer that better than anyone. Email me and I’ll give you his contact information.

    Thanks Tim.

    @howardco I wasn’t able to find any further information about grants and other kinds of assistance that work with NACA. Hopefully you have better luck than me. If you find anything please let me know.

    @jj2017 I have found grants such as “Pathway to Purchase”which works in PG County, MD and “Developmemt of Housing and Community Development” which works in DC. My meeting isn’t until March so I won’t know till then if these work with NACA and if there are any more home buying assistance programs that I’m missing.

    @ttrumble should i wait to apply for these grants until my first one-on-one naca meeting to see if I can use them with naca or should i apply now?

    Hello yassieyas,

    That’s really more dependent if there are any limitations on how quickly you must use the grant funds more than anything else. As long as the grant does not restrict the grant to being used with a specific type of program or bank, you should be fine as far as using it with NACA.

    @ttrumble With the citi grant lender match, If the lender match gets me down to 0.0625 interest rate and there are still funds left over from what the lender match gave me will it go to the principal?

    @yassieyas

    Why is your appointment over two months away in March? I avoided the DC office as I heard they were backed up with many clients. The Baltimore office has a lot of clients but I got my intake quicker from the workshop in September. I am still waiting for the underwriter for myself to get qualified. In the meantime I went to this seminar for MD home grants on this site Good luck.

    @dm Thanks for the link. My appointment is in March because that’s the earliest I can get in. Also works out cuz when I go in I will have already done my shock payment. Plus I’m a VA resident so it would be a lot for me to have to go to Baltimore anytime I have a meeting so I went to the one in DC.
