To be honest, this time yesterday I honestly believed we were not getting this house. The bank came with another condition and refused the document we submitted to address it. My husband and I went to bed accepting that this was the end. We’d for the second time forget about house buying for a while.
At 11:41am today my attorney called to say the bank had decided to accept our document (he clearly worked some miracles while we slept) and we were finally truly clear to close (our webfile status being ctc final for 4 weeks). We were scheduled to close at 1pm. We got our final CD at 12:10pm. We never did a final walkthrough (eek!!!) but this house that we haven’t seen since Jan 24th is ours. With masks and gloves, we made our way to the title company and at 3:35pm we got a text message (first time from NACA): NACA Alert – You have a status update – Your new status: Closed. Fin.
