Attended the 1st Homebuyers workshop in October and registered online for our counseling appointment. Received an email from NACA confirming our appointment for December 31st. The email listed our counselor’s name and contact information. Called NACA today to ask a few questions about our upcoming appointment and was told that we may not actually have an appointment because we scheduled it online. Emailed the counselor that was listed on the email and the received a reply email that the email address did not exist. Called the Miami office and did not get an answer, emailed member services… no reply. Just trying to confirm if I have an appointment or need to reschedule….. any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciate it. Just getting started and I’m frustrated already..December 1, 2020 at 11:30 am #72813TTrumbleMember
I suspect you are not only confusing apples and oranges, but you may even have a few pears mixed in! 🙂
First, the statement “that we may not actually have an appointment because we scheduled it online” literally makes no sense. Something clearly got lost in the communication there. If you scheduled an appointment online, then you scheduled an appointment.
Telephoning you local office will probably not be mcuh help since most of our staff is still working from home and NACA offices are not yet open to the public again.
Your statement “Emailed the counselor that was listed on the email and the received a reply email that the email address did not exist” tends to suggest that the counselor may no longer be with the company. I suggest you call NACA Member Services at 425-602-6222 or use the online chat feature through the NACA website between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm Eastern Time Monday through Friday to get some clarification and help if needed.
Living in the Twilight Zone has been confusing and frustrating for all of us these past nine months. Now more than ever, patience and perseverance are what you need to keep moving forward, and not just with the NACA program.

Thank you for your response…. I agree that is does not make sense but apparently this is what happened. I did in fact schedule an appointment for December 31st. However yesterday and today when I spoke with someone in Member Services they both told me that my appointment was not scheduled, although I received an email confirmation and text message confirming the December 31st appointment. This morning I received an email with a new date of April 13th with a new counselor. Very frustrating since we attended the Homebuyers Workshop in October and did exactly what we were directed to do by the facilitators of that workshop…. I guess we have no choice but to wait 5 months..December 5, 2020 at 4:16 pm #72859jamilagambleParticipant
The exact same thing happen to me. I confirmed my appointment for December 9 at 4:00pm (taking off work for this meeting) and within an hour later they cancelled that appointment and sent me an rescheduled appointment for April 7, 2021. This is very frustrating to me as well, when I was not given any say in the rescheduled appointment date or time. Is there any other NACA counseling office or counselor I can schedule with for a sooner counseling appointment?
