After waiting a month for my next appointment it was canceled by the counselor and I was transferred to another counselor! With a new appointment 2 weeks further out! Talk about frustrating!

My first counselor said that I can qualify while on furlough as long as I have a letter stating that i will return once business resumes due to covid-19. He said he confirmed with a senior MC that its true and that I would get qualified on my average from the last two years tax returns(I get a salary plus commission with the majority being the salary). He said my unemployment would just fill in the employment gap and not be used as my salary qualification. Can @ttrumble confirm if this is true please. My new MC is saying this is not correct 😳

    Greetings @coquipr79,

I hope this message finds you well! I am very sorry that you are receiving conflicting information! When on furlough, you must obtain a letter from your employer with the following information on company letterhead that you were furloughed due to COVID 19, you will be returning back to work on a specific date at the same rate of pay or higher. Kindly ask your counselor to please confirm this information as sometimes policies and procedures do change with their supervisor, front office personnel or the internal help line. I hope this helps and wish you well with your home ownership goals!

    Wishing you much success!
