My husband and I are scheduled for our qualification meeting 6/25…I’m dotting my i’s and crossing my t’s…just wondering what are some general reasons that underwriting comes back with requests? My husband works on the road a lot and we’re trying to make sure we have everything in place before he goes back long distance.
I was qualified in April at the homebuyer’s event in Baltimore. before attending my NACA counselor told me to bring everything with me from previous Action plans just in case I document needs to be resubmitted. So I took that advice and I also brought my laptop with me so that I could access any other document (pay stub, bank statement, tax forms) that I forgot to bring. It was my saving grace because I found out that I needed my 2017 tax transcript, even though I had just filed my taxes. I was able to get online, order the transcript, save it and upload it to my web file all while still in the appointment.
I highly recommend bringing a laptop (and knowing your access codes to any accounts you might need) so that you can provide the document on the spot instead of at the follow-up meeting. I’m finding with NACA it’s best to be over prepared because there is always something… hope this helps.
