    Hi @ttrumbler

    I have a question about the commitment letter, I am working with a grant and they are requesting an updated commitment letter as the current one expired 5/23/17. I have been trying to get an updated expiration date for the commitment letter and they just sent me an updated letter head. I’ve just got a COO and have an appointment for my inspection on 6/20/17 on new construction. Will I be receiving a full commitment letter the grant counselor is also insisting that it should be more then one page. Can anyone please help if they have been in this situation I’d appreciate it thanks.

    Hello New beginning 23,

    I don’t quite understand what you mean by “they just sent me an updated letter head”. Are you saying you received a blank document?

    Also the statement “the grant counselor is also insisting that it should be more then one page” doesn’t quite make sense either. The length of the letter is irrelevant.

    Can you please clarify?

    Hi @ttrumble

    I meant the only thing that change on the commitment letter is the actual date of the letter which was 7/14/17 but the expiration date remained the same.

    I’m not sure but he stated that the commitment letter should be more then one page. I’m not sure because I only received one page.

    I copied the grant counselor into an email with my naca counselor as well as office managaer to see what can be done the grant expires on 6/21/17.

    I’m just wondering if you would know the next steps or who I would have to reach out to, to get and updated commitment letter before the 21. Although I do see on my file DOC 6/28/17 so that must mean things are moving along.

    Also will I be receiving a full commitment letter that has more then one page?

    Hello New beginning 23,

    Thanks for clarifying things. Obviously, their failure to update the expiration date is an oversight on their part, basically a typo. You simply are going to have to call the office and be persistent in explaining why they need to get you a corrected letter right away.

    That grant counselor has to do a lot better than just saying the letter should be two pages without giving any reason why. NACA qualification letters have always been one page and there is no need for them to be any longer.

    @ttrumble

    Thanks for responding I have been asking for an updated letter for 3 weeks. I’m not sure but I was told that the commitment letter does not expire although I have kept asking now I’m down to the end of the line which is 2 days and they still have not sent anything. I just don’t know who else to ask and you respond faster.
