I do not want to give notice to vacate my apartment until after I have closed on my home. My concern is that because the house is being built, anything could slow down construction thus preventing me from closing on time. I would rather not worry about giving up my apartment and scrambling to find temporary housing as I wait to close on the house in the event I cannot close on time. If I have the financial means to do so will NACA allow me give notice after I have closed on my home? My funds and my income are sufficient for me to continuing paying rent until I close on the home.

    Hello ShanniC,

Absolutely. In fact, that’s a wise move. Far too many people give notice before they are certain of their closing date and it often creates a problem for them if there is a delay of any sort.
