    Hi everyone,
My post is not specifically NACA related. I am a NACA qualified priority member. It has been some time now since I started searching for a house. You all know it is sellers market now. On my last bid I offered 25K above asking price. House was sold for 53K above asking price. So, there is a new listing in the town where I want to buy a house. The problem is it is on a busy street.
Will you buy a house on a busy road? What are your thoughts?

There are so many factors that really only you can answer this. Generally speaking I would not buy a house on a busy street but if the house and property were otherwise perfect I would give it consideration.

My preference is to have a little quietness and also be walking distance to a shopping district so that’s what I bought. You can always tour the house at busy traffic times to get an idea of what it would be like.

Thank you for the post, Nelson.
I will spend some time in that area before giving an offer. Planning to go to all 3 open houses. I don’t have any other concerns except the house being on busy road. I have 4yr and 2,5yr old kids.

Al92, if you don’t mind me asking; what city are you buying in?

CAMBRIDGE-NEWTON-FRAMINGHAM MSA. Upscale town with 9-10/10 school system. School system is kinda important for me.

Yes I understand School district importance, but always consider the safety of your little ones as Priority. With my little ones, a busy street was a no no for me.
