    We’ve been working with NACA for a while now. The first time around we were told no without any real concrete explanation or anything. We were contacted by our NACA realtor last year in November to start the program again. We saved our payment shock and had the “reserves” they needed. I think we saved our last payment shock by March. I am also pregnant and due in July and our counselor assured us that our file this time around was a “great” file and she saw no problem getting us through. Well, it’s almost June now and we are still waiting to hear back from the underwriter. She keeps on saying next week, next week, next week. Now, I know the program works and I have heard many great stories from people, but this is just ridiculous. We’ve submitted and re-submitted anything and everything they have asked for and we just want to know a yes or no. Our lease is up again and we need to give our notice by this Friday. Since I’m currently due in about 6 weeks, I really would like to know if it’s worth staying in our tiny apartment with a new born on the way or just moving and trying again in a year. We’ve been nice and not pushy but I’m just to the point that I can’t take it anymore. I understand the process is a long one but how hard is it to give a yes or a no? Today I received an email from our MC (after trying to get in contact with her for over a week) stating that the underwriter is still reviewing the file because she does not feel comfortable. Therefore, I told her, this must be a “no,” and she says, let’s just wait a little bit longer. So, there are no clear answers! Obviously, if she’s not comfortable with our file, then that means there is something wrong. Which is? We will never know.

    Anyway, I would like to know if any else is working or has worked with NACA in San Antonio to see if this is typical or maybe it’s just our specific case… Thanks for reading!

    @MarriednHappy,

    I am also starting the NACA process here in San Antonio, just wondering who your MC is? Thanks
