    Hi again!

I’ve come to find out there’s an Achieve the Dream workshop in a neighboring state 2 weeks prior to our initial Intake meeting, as well as one the week after in our own state. These are advertised as doing the “whole process” in a day. Does it benefit us to attend the one two weeks before our Intake or would that just cause difficulty and confusion?

If you ever get a chance to attend the event definitely do it! It shouldn’t cause any confusion and if anything will greatly speed up your process. You could even go in two weeks and be approved or at least find out everything you need and potentially have it by the next Achieve The Dream event!!

I say go for it and great luck!

if you can, go to the event

    Absolutely go!!

Thanks for the encouragement! As it turns out, we’re going to head to one a full six weeks earlier than our original Intake. It’s a 6 hour drive each way, but it’ll be fun, and 100% worth it to get our timetable moved up by that much. I registered, and called Member Services to confirm – I even found out we don’t have to attend the Workshop again, we can just walk in and wait to see an MC. Very excited! (Still hoping for a cancellation to fill at the local office even sooner, but this is still great.)

@BakerTheBaker Definitely go! I flew from DC to an ATD event in Orlando. I was approved on Day 1! Even if you don’t get approved at the event, it will greatly (and I mean GREATLY) speed up the process. Have fun on your road trip and good luck!

    Hello BakerTheBaker,

The gang here pretty much said it all. Definitely go to the event! As TryingThisAgain noted, even if you don’t complete the qualification process at the event, you will still be a quantum leap ahead of where you were and should be able to finish up your qualification pretty easily with your local counselor.

Make sure to come introduce yourself to me when you are there!
