(February 15, 2018– Miami, FL) – More than 1000 home buyers attended the first day of NACA’s “Achieve the Dream” homeownership tour Thursday at the Miami Airport convention center. Nearly 200 were lined up at the door before the event opened at 8am, some arriving as early as 4am. Expectations are for attendance to be even greater on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Low and moderate-income borrowers will have the unprecedented opportunity to obtain NACA’s Best in America Mortgage (No Down Payment, and No Closing Costs, and a Below Market Fixed Rate). Everyone who attends will work with a NACA counselor to be approved for the NACA Mortgage they can genuinely afford. NACA’s counseling is HUD certified and one of the nation’s largest counseling programs.

“This historic Achieve the Dream tour will provide one stop homeownership events where over four days one can be approved for the NACA Mortgage”, states Bruce Marks, NACA founder and CEO. “Since Florida was one of the hardest hit states during the mortgage crisis, it is only appropriate that Miami is one of the first stops on the Achieve the Dream Tour, to help rebuild homeownership in an area that has suffered so much. NACA will continue these events with more than twenty events planned through 2018 providing unprecedented affordable homeownership opportunities to tens of thousands of working people nationwide.”

This extraordinary event runs through Sunday, February 18th at the Miami Airport Convention Center (at the Double Tree Hotel) at 711 NW 72nd Avenue, Miami. Doors will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day. NACA has $13 Billion committed to the NACA Mortgage program and more than 60,000 homes have been purchased through NACA’s 47 offices, including Miami.

NACA will also assist struggling homeowners at the event through its nationally acclaimed Home Save Program, through which more than 250,000 homeowners obtained an affordable mortgage.

NACA’s Mortgage is the Best in America in that everyone receives the same truly extraordinary terms including no down payment, no closing costs (lender paid), no fees, no PMI, no credit score consideration, a below market fixed interest rate, interest rate buy-down, renovation funds and many other extremely favorable terms.

For documents needed and to register, go to or call 281-968-6222. Walk-ins are welcome.

What other locations throughtout the nation will the tour be next during 2018?

      Hello C Andrews,

At the moment, the only dates that are confirmed are:

      Baltimore April 26 – 30
      Newark May 30 – June 3

We are planning on an Atlanta event sometime in June, plus several west coast events, including a multi-city California tour, but they are still in the planning stages.

Please continue to monitor the NACA website for updates as new event dates are confirmed.

Hello, what are the contributing factors that lead most applicants to a same day pre-approval?

We are currently renting a home that we’d like to purchase. I’ve started the NACA process and attended the initial workshop. We’ve started the home purchase process with a different lender but we are stalled until we can receive a letter from my spouse’s creditor showing that we paid off a charge-off on his account. That can take 30 days. That is the only thing stopping us right now. Would that charge off pose a problem for NACA? If we show a letter showing that we paid the settlement amount for the charge and have no other negative marks on our credit, could that lead to a pre-approval? We can only be in attendance for one day as we are coming from out of town and have to work. Also, will NACA pull our credit and report a hard credit inquiry to the credit bureaus at this event? We’re a bit worried that if it doesn’t work out with NACA, a hard inquiry could negatively affect our chances of being approved with the lender we’re currently working with.

      Hello J. Mett,

Not to be cliche, but YOU are the biggest factor in getting your approval same-day at an Achieve the Dream Event.

Sadly, one of the most common thngs I see that prevents people for getting their approval is the notion that they can “kinda” follow the rules or bring MOST of the documents listed and still somehow complete the process.

If you ask any NACA homeowner they will tell you that following the instructions, whether they are in your workbook, from your counselor or even the requirments listed on a flyer are an absolute must to succeed in the program.

The way I like to put it is to come over-prepared. Make sure you have all of the documents listed on the flyer or the webpage you saw, and then some. If you need three months of bank statements, bring 12. Need 30 days of paystubs? Bring 90 days. Wondering if we need a certain document, like a divorce decree, Social Security award letter, etc? Assume the answer is “yes”. Better to have twenty pages too many than one too few.

The letter from the creditor indicating that account has been paid in full should be adequate to resolve that issue.

Way too may people worry WAY too much about their credit file. Of course we will have to pull a credit report as part of the counseling process. But worrying about how it will affect your credit file is focusing your energies on the wrong thing. If you think it “could negatively affect our chances of being approved with the lender we’re currently working with”, then you’re working with the wrong lender anyway.

Come to the event with a positive attitude and determination to succeed. I’m looking forward to celebrating your approval with you!
