(November 17, 2014 – Cincinnati, OH ) – The winter storm affecting the Cincinnati area has NOT affected NACA’s Mortgage Assistance Event underway at the Duke Energy Center. Doors are open for the event today until 6pm and the event will conclude as scheduled tomorrow with doors again open 8:00am to 6:00pm. NACA staff as well as all the major lenders and investors are still on hand to provide same-day solutions.
Hundreds of NACA counselors, bank , servicer and investor reps are still on hand to help struggling homeowners achieve affordable mortgage solutions.
“NACA is relentless in our efforts on behalf of American Homeowners”, according to Rick Herrera, Director of Communications for the organization. “Not even the weather stops us from helping struggling homeowners seek an affordable mortgage payment. In the past, we have faced dust storms and even tornado threats during the 150 events we have conducted across the country. While we of course want everyone to be safe when coming to our events, we want them to also be assured that we are here and ready to help even during rough weather. ”
Herrera also said that Tuesday will still have to be the final day for the event as originally scheduled as the logistics of producing the event prohibit extending it an extra day.
NACA’s is the nation’s largest HUD Certified non-profit. Our American Dream Tour event gives homeowners the opportunity to meet face to face with their lender along with a NACA advocate to obtain an affordable solution the same day. Many homeowners have their interest rate reduced to as low as 2% and possibly receive a principal reduction, saving hundreds and sometimes more than a thousand dollars a month on their mortgage payment. NACA has done over 150 American Dream events, assisting over a quarter-million homeowners nationwide. Homeowners from all over the region, including Columbus, Cleveland, Indianapolis and Louisville are expected to attend.
Homeowners with Bank of America loans can potentially benefit from the recently announced $17 Billion mortgage settlement with the Justice Department as well as the other settlements. Since all of NACA’s services are free, homeowners have everything to gain and nothing to lose. RealtyTrac notes that there are currently 3,928 properties in Cincinnati alone that are in some stage of foreclosure.
NACA’s Home Save and Purchase programs have been highlighted on the national and local news as the most effective in providing affordable homeownership. This includes home buyers who can qualify at the event for NACA’s Best in America Mortgage: no down payment, no closing costs, no points or fees, and everyone receives a below market interest rate without consideration of their credit score but based on their individual circumstances. Homeowners and homebuyers can again realize the dream of affordable homeownership. For documents needed and to register, go to www.naca.com or call 281-968-6222. Walk-ins are welcome.
