    Hi Tim,

Thanks again! I truly understand what you mean. The only issue with my MC is he gives me these dates that I think he has no intention on honoring and whats funny about it is I don’t ask him for a date or time frame.

Had my second phone follow-up today and after 3 long agonizing months I was told I would be submitted to underwriting next week. The weird part about it all my counselor never asked about anything he asked me to get and I very seriously doubt he thoroughly looked over my file so Ill just wait and see what drama comes next week.

    Thanks Tim,

That seems to be the problem but I asked the Child Support Department to take it out of my check from day one so that it wouldnt be paid late and now its come back to bite me. Hopefully I can get something in writing to prove it

1fabgal To be honest I doubt it. Im in a similiar situation task list complete and MRF saved and I went to the event here in Tallahassee and spoke with a counselor. She went over my file only to tell me I have everything needed and what she thought the underwriter would say. I asked a few times if she could submit to underwriting but she said my counselor would have to. But the good thing about the Tallahassee Save the Dream is that it isnt a lot of people, you should be able to get in and out with No problems or long lines

Here’s another short email I received from my counselor:
Good Morning. After reviewing your file as I mentioned in our conversation, we will keep you informed as we proceed with our normal procedures here at NACA. Continue to work on the items on your task list. A couple of areas that you need to address are: alternative credit and establishing consistent rental history. We thank you for your patience

I only had a few items on my task list which are already completed. I already have establish alternative cred: child support, cable, insurance and 4 months of rental history at my new place and previous rental history. Im having the hardest time to get him to be specific which makes me believe he’s not really looking at my file because he wouldve seen the alternative credit which I was told to get 2 months ago

    Thanks ttrumble,
I wasn’t giving or told anything in my follow up meeting. I’ve completed the task list that I was giving in my intake meeting. The new counselor acknowledge not having a chance to look at my file prior to calling me, so i didn’t understand the purpose of even calling until he’s looked at my file and that’s what frustrated me the most. Id rather he take the time during our follow up meeting to verify I had everything on my task list and when asked when could I expect him to review my file he beat around the bush and never gave an answer.

I just had my follow up meeting yesterday and no timeline was giving on when I would be submitted to underwriting. I have a new counselor since my old counselor left and the new counselor never considered looking at my file prior to our phone convo. I asked him several times how long would it be before he could review my file and he wouldn’t even give an estimate. So how long should I give him before I start calling to check to see if he looked it over or contact a higher up.
